About Raydium

Building on-chain liquidity primitives powering the evolution of DeFi

What is Raydium?

Raydium is a decentralized exchange on Solana where you can swap tokens, trade perpetuals, and earn yield by providing liquidity. Since 2021, it's been the most widely integrated liquidity infrastructure on Solana.

Why Raydium?

  • Fast and cheap transactions on Solana

  • Permissionless β€” anyone can create pools, launch tokens, and add liquidity incentives

  • Multiple pool types and launch mechanisms for different use cases

What you can do

Trade β€” Swap any token pair or trade perpetuals with leverage

Earn β€” Provide liquidity to pools and earn trading fees + token rewards

Launch β€” Create a token with a bonding curve or deploy a pool for any asset

Pool types

CLMM (Concentrated liquidity) β€” LPs choose a price range to concentrate their capital. Higher efficiency, better for stable pairs or active management.

CPMM (Constant product) β€” Raydium's latest constant product pools following the xΒ·y=k invariant. Anchor-compatible, supports Token-2022, and offers multiple fee tiers. The default for new pool creation and LaunchLab migrations.

AMM v4 (Constant product) β€” Raydium's legacy constant product pools, also following xΒ·y=k. Battle-tested and the most distributed AMM program on Solana. Originally a hybrid AMM that shared idle liquidity with central limit order books (Serum, then OpenBook) β€” today all v4 pools function as traditional AMMs.

LaunchLab

LaunchLab is Raydium's token launch platform using bonding curves β€” a popular mechanism for launching new tokens on Solana.

How it works:

  1. Create a token with customizable supply, pricing curve, and fundraising target

  2. Buyers purchase on the bonding curve, with price increasing as supply is bought

  3. When the target is hit, the token "graduates" β€” liquidity auto-migrates to a Raydium pool and LP is burned

Two modes:

  • JustSendit β€” Launch in seconds with default settings

  • Custom β€” Full customization: curve type, vesting, fee sharing, and more

Third-party platforms can also build branded launchpads on LaunchLab infrastructure.

Other tools

  • Permissionless farms β€” Add token incentives to any pool

  • Burn & Earn β€” Lock liquidity permanently while still earning fees

  • Routing engine β€” Smart routing across all Raydium pools, available via app, API, or SDK
